Naptime Sewing

purpleredbib

Well, sort of.  My two younger children take a nap, and the older two take a few minutes of “rest time” before they go back to the all-important work of tearing our house apart.  Yesterday I sat down during this transitional period when the older kids are playing and the younger kids are sleeping to practice my free-motion quilting, and somehow this little bib happened instead.  The fabric is from a fat quarter a friend brought me from a local quilt store for $.50.  The ribbon is from a past gift, the red thread was my mother’s long ago, and it’s interfaced with fleece left over from the mei tai project.  I love that the bib cost so little, and also that it took so little time — maybe 20 minutes.  It’s such an easy project I’m hoping to have a pattern and tutorial up for it this weekend, if I can get some time away from the munchkins to do it.
